The international resolution NATO uses to justify its attacks against Libya doesn't allow for changing the Libyan regime, or the political assassination of the Libyan leader Gadhafi, said South African President Jacob Zuma.
Zuma said, “NATO's attacks against Libya create anxiety for the African Union (AU), especially since UN Resolution No. 1973 aims to protect the Libyan people and provide humanitarian aid."
In a speech he delivered at the opening session of the AU Summit, he said overthrowing the Libyan regime or assassinating the Gadhafi weren't the objectives of the UN resolution.
